ill titleThe Dark Side Of The Chant -
The Tour 2011

For over a decade, Gregorian has built a musical bridge between Gregorian chant from the Middle Ages and the pop and rock music of today.  Creative mastermind, Frank Peterson,  has created a highly successful new art form/genre with his neo-Gregorian chant.  The distinctive sounds of Gregorian has legions of fans all over the world.  Recordings in the first ten years of the Gregorian project have sold in excess of 5 million copies and over 1 million people have seen Gregorian Masters of Chant live in concert.

The fact that Gregorian can also rock, without losing any of their authenticity, has already been demonstrated with the publication of “The Dark Side” in 2004.  On the new CD “The Dark Side of the Chant” Peterson again takes the listener on a musical journey with some of the great anthems from the history of rock along with more contemporary rock hits.   Never before have songs like “Hells Bells” (AC/DC),  “Frozen” (Madonna), “Bring Me To Life” (Evanescence),  “Lucifer” (The Alan Parsons Project) and “Stripped” (Depeche Mode) have been presented in such magnificent polyphonic sound.  With “Born To Be Alive” Gregorian presents the first English version of #1 German chart-topping hit “Geboren um zu Leben” by German gothic band, Unhelig.  Another highlight will include “O Fortuna” which should surely delight fans of Carl Orff and “Carmina Burana”.

With the new CD “The Dark Side of the Chant” (15.10.2010) Gregorian will again embark on a huge tour.  This tour will be the largest and most elaborate stage show since the inception of the project.   Frank Peterson once again promises a grand production with great musical variety.  In addition to repertoire from the new CD, the tour will include highlights from the over 150 recordings that Gregorian has published.  The tour will start on 02 February 2011 in Hamburg, Germany.  Besides Germany, Switzerland and Austria, tour stops will include Russia, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Croatia.
